PRIMEDIA's Enthusiast Media Group grew to be the leading special interest publisher in the U.S. with approximately 90 publications, 100 leading websites, 90 events, 11 TV programs and over 600 branded products, with such well-known brands as Power & Motoryacht, Hot Rod, Fly Fisherman, Snowboarder, Stereophile and Surfer. This group generated $725 million in revenue and had over 2,500 employees.
Consumer Source Guide - The leading free consumer guide publisher in America, with over $275 million in revenues, PRIMEDIA's Consumer Guide Group grew to be the largest U.S. provider of free consumer guide publications and websites serving the apartment and new home markets. Its properties included the Apartment Guide and New Home Guide publications, DistribuTech, a distribution network for free consumer publications, and such leading websites as ApartmentGuide.com and NewHomeGuide.com. This group generated $275 million in revenues and had over 950 employees.
Penton Media (FKA Prism/PRIMEDIA Business Media) - A leading B2B media company with over $230 million in revenues. Prism Group (nka Penton Media) was segmented into 10 business platforms, including Entertainment, Agribusiness, Communications, Electrical and Public Services, Industrial, Marketing, Professional Services, Apparel, Transportation, Books and Exhibitions and produces 100+ magazines and newsletters, 450+ books and valuation guides, and more than 30 trade events. This group generated $225 million in revenue and had over 700 employees.
Supplemental Educational Group of Primedia - A major supplemental education company with over $150 million in revenues. PRIMEDIA's Supplemental Education Group grew to be a leading provider of supplemental products and materials for educators and students. Its brands included American Guidance Services (AGS), Weekly Reader and the World Almanac. This group generated $120 million in revenues and had over 2,500 employees.
